Blue Gene: What it can and can't do

Blue Gene/L at LLNL is the world's fastest supercomputer ... at least by some measures.  This alone is sufficient to generate lots of hype. 
However, Blue Gene works well for only some applications as experience on the smaller system at SDSC has shown. 
  
This talk will describe the Blue Gene architecture and indicate which applications run well on it and which do not.
