With the basic job submission option, the user specifies a single executable filename, and the HPVM server launches this executable on each host allocated to the batch job. This option is used for applications consisting of multiple instances of a single executable.
When the user selects the `Submit Job (Basic)' option from the `Job Management' menu, a dialog box is displayed on the user's screen prompting them for the pathname of the executable file, the pathname of the desired output file where output from the job will be sent, the number of processors required for the parallel job, and the LSF queue to submit the job to. All pathnames should be entered into this dialog box in the full Windows NT UNC format. The user may also supply one or more command line parameters after the name of the executable file in the dialog box. After clicking on the `Okay' button in the dialog, the batch job submission request is made and the success or failure of this request is displayed in the text area of the client main window. If the job is successfully submitted, the job ID of the batch job is also returned.
