System Performance for HPVM

The High Performance Virtual Machine (HPVM 1.0) is a high performance clustering system for PC's developed by the Concurrent Systems Architecture Group (CSAG) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Because the PC hardware marketplace includes many vendors, designs, configurations, and even firmware settings, performance to the memory and input/output system can vary widely. As a service to users of our software, we have tested the following systems for input/output subsystem performance and memory system performance. The tests are by no means comprehensive evaluations of the systems.

We will updating this list as we test additional systems. Of course, we cannot test all systems, so if HPVM users, like you, would like to report test results, please let us know. To vendors, if you would like to donate two systems for testing, please let us know. All the inputs and suggestions to improve this page and the accuracy of reporting are welcome.
