Xingbin Zhang

Xingbin (Ben) Zhang is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign .

He is a member of the Illinois Concert project (efficient parallel object-oriented programming) in the Concurrent Systems Architecture Group , where he is working on the Concert compiler and the implementation of a high performance parallel molecular dynamics program in Concert. His research interests include global program analysis and optimizations for parallel execution and high performance implementations of irregular applications.

Ben received his B.S. in electrical engineering with highest distinction from the Purdue University in 1991 and his M.S. in computer science, from the University of Illinois in 1993. He is a member of both the ACM and IEEE Computer Society.
