Andrew A. Chien
At UCSD, Andrew is an Adjunct Professor in the Dept of Computer Science and Engineering. Effective June 20, 2011, he also serves as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the
University of Chicago, and a Senior Scientist at Argonne National Laboratories .
From 2005-2010, Andrew served as Vice President and Director of Intel Research.
From 2003-2005, he created and served as Founding Director of the UCSD Center for Networked Systems
.
From 1998-2005, Andrew was the SAIC Chair Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at University of California, San Diego
and from 1990-1998, a Professor in Computer Science at the University of Illinois.
Andrew is a Fellow of the Association for
Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute for Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE), and the American Association
for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
